Most people perceive glass as a smooth and glossy material that does not immediately surprise or invite touch. As a glass maker my view of the material is different. I have seen how the glass was once fluid and impressionable soft and I want my work to keep and communicate this quality. To underline the softness of the material and to invite the fingers touching and interaction I decorate the surface with patterns from lace pillows. I want my objects to give a sense of solidity and evoke sensations and curiosity. My objects are not just for display, my objects are meant to be touched.
