Technique
Casting - Glass melted in Quartz Moulds * Corning Glass Sculpture inspired in round African houses and the experience of living inside. To melt this sculpture I had to build a mould in parts and make a special container to place few blocks of corning glass that melts before dropping into the mould. Before closing the mould, all the internal surfaces are treated separately to achieve the geometrical form and to obtain the soft texture of the sculpture.
Once melted, the sculpture is polished with hand tools.
