Jens Gussek has created a family of small sculptural objects, playful and often toylike. They suggest things we all know and recognize, such as cars, planes,people, animals or agricultural implements. In his hands they become members of a group of small iconic objects, their family resemblance making them instantly recognizable as the work of J Gussek. Because pieces are small they give the sense of being precious objects, but one would not associate them with the environment that usually goes with precious objects. A talisman-like quality places them in a different world...
